Celebrating WVN Living's seventh year

Celebrating WVN Living's seventh year

Last week, we celebrated our seventh birthday!

We did so through a call to action to our supporters and customers to purchase mangrove seedlings through our website to help us start our climate resilience project with our community in Bangar, La Union.

Aside from this, we were also able to celebrate by distributing bags of rice to all the weavers in the community – whether we have worked with them or not. In addition, we are grateful that we have partner artisans who are not only weavers, but are also in agriculture, and we were able to source the sacks of rice through them.

For many Filipinos, and especially to our partner communities, rice is important and is rarely missing on the table. Aside from being a staple at the heart of our food culture, rice also symbolizes prosperity and good luck.

On this auspicious milestone, we want to share the prosperity and good luck among the weavers in our partner communities as much as we possibly can. We want to add to the table our partner artisans and their families, and we continue to strive to do so.

We have also been reflecting on our seven year journey, especially the blessings and people that have come our way. We thank you for being part of this journey, and for supporting us so that we can share these blessings with our partner artisan communities!
